"Every surface, proportion, and transition needs to be handled carefully."

The Foundation
A big part of the RXR project has been the CG modeling process itself. With a car like the 964, every surface, proportion, and transition needs to be handled carefully. It was never just about making the car wider, lower, or more aggressive. It was about making sure every new shape still felt believable, clean, and connected to the original car.
The Silhouette
The silhouette was probably the most important thing to protect. That classic 964 profile is so recognizable, and once you start changing the arches, bumpers, width, height, and stance, it can quickly lose its identity. We wanted the RXR to feel stronger and more planted, but never too heavy or over-designed. A lot of the work came down to finding that balance.
The Fine dance
The design refinements for Bellezza were driven by a desire to remove visual noise and allow the core form to speak more clearly. I intentionally removed the rear wing, side mirrors, and front wiper to strip the car back to its purest silhouette, letting the body language carry the expression rather than add-on elements. The side window line was reworked to flow more naturally into the rear of the car, creating a smoother transition through the greenhouse. While simplifying, I was careful to preserve key hallmarks such as the iconic side NACA duct and the overall greenhouse proportion, introducing only subtle curvature to improve front-to-back harmony without compromising the original identity.

The Details
There was a lot of back and forth through the process. Testing volumes, adjusting arches, refining transitions, cleaning surfaces, studying the stance, and making sure the car felt right from every angle. Slow, detailed work, but that is where the personality starts to come alive. On a 964, every line matters. Everything needs to feel like it belongs.
The Spirit
For us, this project has always been about respect and curiosity. Respect for the original 964, because it is already such a strong and beautiful car. Curiosity to see what happens when we push it into a new place through our own taste, ideas, and visual language. Still a 964 at heart. Just not your classic 964.
