The Incept...

After four years of sharpening our design skills, we finally felt ready to take on a platform we’ve admired for years — the Porsche 997. With a deep reverence for the brand’s legacy, we approached this project with intention, curiosity, and care. The 997’s proportions are sacred in our eyes, and rather than disrupt its iconic silhouette, we asked ourselves: how can we evolve it? How can we complement it, celebrate it, and push it forward in a way that still feels timeless?

Evolving the Carrera baseline

We started with the base Carrera and asked a simple question: what if? What if we had complete creative freedom to build our version of the ultimate 997? That idea unlocked the entire project. We dove deep into the aftermarket landscape, studied Porsche’s own catalog of performance variants, and crafted two distinct versions: one for the street, one for the track. Both share the same core dimensions and architecture, but diverge in purpose — from the aero packages to the stance, each version is tuned with a unique personalit

The What if? Moment...

This project became a rare moment to explore Porsche’s history and future in parallel. We pulled cues from the GT2, GT3, and RSR race cars while channeling aspects of Porsche’s current design language to create something familiar, yet entirely new. It was never about nostalgia. It was about remixing. About asking: what would happen if we were given a blank slate inside Porsche’s skunkworks division and told to build a next-gen 997?

With Pride

One of the proudest aspects of the RXR is how deeply it reflects our design values. From the exterior surfacing to the smallest interior detail, we treated every decision with intent. Take our custom 1:1 MHC RXR seat — designed, modeled, and built entirely in-house. It feels OEM at a glance, but lives in a new design language — one that echoes Porsche, while speaking as something truly our own. We extended that approach across the vehicle, even developing a new front fascia and lighting system using advanced CAD and digital workflows to bring it all to life with precision.

Our Partners

We also had the privilege of collaborating with Toyo Tire on this build. Our good friend Stan Chen believed in the project early on and provided us with an actual spec tire directly from Toyo. This became our baseline — a touchpoint that grounded the design and helped us manifest a race slick that feels authentic and real. As we always say: the tires are what root the car to the earth. They’re the final, critical layer between fantasy and function. Without Toyo’s support, this wouldn’t have hit the same way.

The Muse

Another huge influence on this build has been our friends at BBi Autosport. Betim and Dimitri have shaped a generation of Porsche builders and thinkers, and their work — especially the evolution of their 993 Evo — helped inspire our pursuit of performance through thoughtful, clean design. Their dedication to both form and function pushed us to raise the bar and trust in our own process.

We also want to give a huge thank you to our collaborator Wuffi, who helped us establish the body surface modeling for the 997 RXR — an essential foundation that brought the physicality of this concept to life. These creative collaborations helped us push this project to a new level.

A Tribute

One of the most emotionally resonant aspects of the RXR is the tribute livery we designed in honor of our friend and hero, Ken Block. Ken’s bold use of gloss and matte blacks across his builds always struck a chord with us, and we wanted to carry a piece of that spirit into this project. The RXR wears a unique mix of dry carbon, gloss vinyl, and subtle matte finishes — a quiet nod to Ken that feels deeply personal while also giving the car its own visual voice. It’s not just a livery — it’s a reflection of someone who inspired us to chase our wildest ideas with full throttle.
