The Rossa: A Dream Reimagined
The Rossa project came to me in a fever dream. Like many, I grew up captivated by the romantic yet aggressive precision of Ferrari's design language. Among them, the Testarossa stands in a league of its own—a masterpiece of form, flow, and beauty. This project was born from that admiration, but also from a dream-like state, where creativity blurs with inspiration.
At the time, I was working on other projects and often found myself seeking distractions to reset my perspective. For me, automotive re-designs are a perfect escape. The concept for the Rossa struck me like lightning—a chance to honor the iconic lines of the Testarossa while letting my imagination run wild, free from the constraints of consumer-focused design or homologation standards.
The Rossa: A Dream Reimagined
I embraced boldness and divided the car into two distinct elements: the front clip and the rest of the car. This approach sparked a profound design rethink, allowing me to explore what a “no-rules” Testarossa could be. Every car I design begins with a spark of joy or wonder, and this build embodies both.
At its core, the Rossa retains the fundamental Ferrari recipe of a rear/mid-engine layout. But I wanted to push boundaries—literally. The exposed front clip reveals the intricate workings of the machine, blending a modern push-rod suspension system with a V-mounted radiator and an elaborate space-frame monocoque. I spent days studying race car suspension systems to perfect this element, ensuring it felt both authentic and futuristic.
"The Rossa has a dual personality—two distinct versions of itself."

The Rossa: A Dream Reimagined
Bringing this concept to life required collaboration. Enter Clayton Sjoerdsma, a brilliant CGI modeler and close collaborator. Clayton took my initial sketches, splines, and countless reference materials and transformed them into a stunning 3D model. His poly modeling work was so exceptional it inspired me to dive deeper, designing the front suspension and mechanical elements in CAD. This project became a true labor of love, with countless days, nights, weekends, and months poured into its creation.
The Rossa has a dual personality—two distinct versions of itself. One hides behind its front clip, while the other lays bare the inner workings of its design. This duality creates a visual and conceptual tension, a powerful statement of creation and reinvention.
The Rossa: A Dream Reimagined
The car’s silhouette has been widened even further, though it retains the iconic large side intakes and flowing body lines feeding the rear intercooler. Every element has been reimagined: the windshield, doors, skirts—everything. My goal was for viewers to sense the unmistakable presence of the original Testarossa but quickly be transported into an entirely new world of "what if."
This is the essence of HASTE builds—the joy of unbridled imagination, the freedom to explore, and the thrill of creating something entirely new. For me, the Rossa represents the beauty of possibility: where homage meets innovation and dreams take form.
