In this project, I aimed to push the boundaries and challenge conventional norms. I delved into the realm of fantasy, where the limitations of the real world don't hold sway, to create something truly unique. The Triad, as a race car, embodies my vision and serves as a statement in my body of work. It represents the result of unrestricted thinking, allowing me to be bold and break new ground in design. With the Triad, I sought to push the boundaries of what is possible and explore the ideal. It stands as a testament to my perspective on design and the seamless integration of automotive and artistic worlds, where chaos and harmony coexist in perfect harmony.

The creation of the Triad was a labor-intensive process that spanned over 10 months, filled with countless iterations and continuous refinement. True to the nature of art, it is an ongoing work that is never truly finished, always open to revision and improvement. Even now, I can identify areas that I would like to adjust or further develop.

The initial design brief was simple yet inspiring. Together with Carlos, we aimed to pay homage to the iconic racing series, GROUP C. We sought to capture the essence of that era while envisioning our own creations among the legends of the past. What would a modern Group C race car look like? What limitations and challenges would it face? Which manufacturer would bring it to life? These questions fueled our creativity and guided the evolution of the designs, from initial thoughts to intricate lines, precise splines, detailed polygons, and ultimately refined final renders.

Throughout this incredible journey, we have encountered numerous challenges and acquired invaluable lessons. It has been a remarkable experience, blending passion, imagination, and technical expertise to breathe life into a concept that is both rooted in history and firmly planted in the realm of possibilities.

When embarking on my projects, I always draw inspiration from 2-3 main sources of visual design. Nature and remarkable feats of human engineering often serve as my guiding lights. In the case of the Triad, one of the key inspirations was the legendary Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk. Its distinctive intersecting lines, overall design proportions, and body composition have become iconic, and I aimed to capture that essence in my creation.

For the Triad, I wanted to evoke a sense of military precision and purposeful speed, but with its own unique approach. Instead of following the path of smooth body lines and organic shapes, I intentionally went against the norm to explore new possibilities. The goal was to make the Triad feel like a creation born from the same engineering team as the F-117, but with their focus shifted towards creating a track secret weapon. By deviating from convention and pushing boundaries, I sought to infuse the design with an unmistakable character and an aura of mystery.

Engaging my mind in these thematic quests is crucial during the deep dive into creating these projects. Given the immense amount of time and energy they require, it is always fascinating to let my imagination run wild and witness how the initial questions evolve into new ideas and concepts. It is through these explorations that I can push the boundaries of design and challenge myself to create something truly unique and captivating.

Few things in life bring me greater fulfillment than witnessing a thought or question in my mind materialize into a design and eventually come to life as a photorealistic creation in the digital realm. While it would be a dream to witness the Triad in action on the track, for now, the sense of satisfaction and fulfillment I've derived from this build and the journey it has taken me on is immeasurable.

Art is an ongoing process, always evolving and never truly finished. The Triad, in its current form, is a culmination of my efforts and is now released into the world to be experienced, analyzed, critiqued, and celebrated. I have played my part in bringing it forth from the realm of imagination, and I couldn't be prouder to introduce something fresh and innovative to the automotive landscape.

The journey of creating the Triad has been nothing short of incredible, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share it with others. It is my hope that this creation sparks joy, intrigue, and perhaps even inspires others to push the boundaries of their own creativity. The Triad is a testament to the power of imagination and design, and I look forward to what lies ahead in my artistic endeavors.
