THE REDRUM - M.H.C. 019
This Chevy Nova is without a doubt one of my favorite cars ever, and after watching the hilarious Tarantino movie "Death Proof," it catapulted to the top of my list. This Nova was the perfect opportunity to learn more about mechanics and experience, as it was important to have an accurate approach to influence the final result of my design and renders. I consider the Redrum to be a blueprint for a future real build that hopefully one day I will be able to recreate.

"As if the Nova wasn't badass enough, I wanted to cross the line and push the boundaries aesthetically and mechanically even further."

I wanted to keep as much of the original vibe, but also re-design the whole front section with a totally original hood, wider front, rear fenders and grill. Just the right touch of intelligent changes to bring a whole new level of aesthetic to this classic American muscle car.

"I wanted my Nova to feel raw and powerful, and removing the front bumper was the first step to revealing the beast within."

We reproduced the Mickey Thompson tire from scratch specifically for this build. Using tons of reference, we tried to be as accurate as possible and add all the tiny details to make it feel real; this is a fundamental ingredient for our cars.

I wanted to go above and beyond on this project by showing a totally exposed engine. Despite not being an expert in mechanics, I didn’t let it stop me from trying my best to recreate a LS3 V8 twin turbo engine that would fit in this 70s Chevy Nova. Fortunately, my good friends Ash and Millergo helped oversee and guide me through the process, trying to ensure all the logistics and engine layout were correct. Once the engine layout/mockup was in the right place, it was time to finally add all the fun details needed to make it feel real.
